I feel that. Just remembered another one. Spec Ops: The Line. The gameplay and balance issues were distracting against a pretty cool story of losing your sanity in war. Lots of cool fourth wall moments that you had to drudge through stupid choke point battles or race against the clock challenges.

It’s just ok. The Syory mode is there but it’s a rotation of four events that you do five times at increasing difficulty. The play is solid though. You start with a fairly full roster and after beating Story you have five or so courts that you can mix it up on. My complaint is you randomly get...

I bought Fallout by Fantasy Flught and was pleasantly surprised to find a game that wasn’t drowning in rules. While there are a lot, the mechanics run smoothly and don’t have you looking at a cheat sheet every five mins. Some repetitiveness but I’ve enjoyed wandering the somewhat random wastelands.

Yeah launching and juggling is really fun. Having to be precise with Kratos instead of swinging crazy chains at 3/4 of the screen feels a lot more rewarding.

Still having a lot of fun with God of war. I’m currently focusing on all the techniques I purchased and never mastered. It is a really cool game and getting beyond button mashing has made strides in my play.

I’ve actually really enjoyed the story modes. Especially since most fighters lose value when other people aren’t around to play.
